We’re pleased to announce the signing of the Daniel Gazzoli Project for the upcoming release of “Stranger in My Own Town,” the band’s second album, coming almost ten years after their debut, “Night Hunter.”
The project translates the artistic vision of multi-instrumentalist Daniel Gazzoli (guitars, bass, drums, and arrangements) into music, crafting energetic and melodic hard rock, proudly infused with retro sounds that hark back to the great and classic tradition of ’80s rock. Gazzoli debuted with the acclaimed album “Night Hunter,” which was highly praised by critics and audiences alike thanks to its powerful sound, cutting riffs, and decidedly refined production, in line with the best of American and Northern European AOR / pomp rock / hard rock.
Today, the Daniel Gazzoli Project returns to show us a new side with “Stranger in My Own Town,” a full-length album that marks a further step in a process of remarkable musical maturation, while remaining faithful to the band’s distinctive traits: rich melodies, detailed and almost prog-like arrangements, power, and melody, sometimes in Skagarak vein.
Giacomo Rossi (Embrace of Souls) leads the vocals, combining strength and emotion, while Max Sabbadini (Voodoo Highway) handles the essential keyboards. Both bring new life and energy to the project. Gazzoli’s is timeless melodic hard rock: an eternal sound that never dies. Pure, sincere, charged with emotion, deeply authentic and heartfelt. For fans of Pretty Maids and beyond. “Stranger in My Own Town” looks to the past to bring it into the present, alive and relevant as never before.
