FURY N GRACE

Fury’n’Grace are one of Italy’s most interesting metal realities of the last few years, although the band has been steadily going for about 17 years.

Their debut album “Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque” (Dragonheart, 2007) is an outstanding gem of aggression, originality, musical intelligence and technique. Their unique combination of progressive metal approach, extreme metal attitude and schizophrenic lyrics is hailed as one of the most innovative and interesting musical offers of the Italian metal scene of the last few years.

Their new opus, “Diabolism of Conversation” is the next masterpiece of eccentric genius, and with the addition of Deathmaster of DoomSword on vocals, Fury’n’Grace push themselves and the listener to new boundaries. Fury’n’Grace call their new album their “exorcism of reality”.

Line-up:
Fury’n’Grace is Matteo Carnio (guitars), Christian Grillo (bass) and Emiliano Bertossi (drums).
Guest singer on “Diabolism of Conversation” is Deathmaster of DoomSword.

The Past:

All three members of Fury’n’Grace have been involved in countless bands and projects, most notably Edge of Forever (Carnio and Grillo) – with whom they collaborated with the likes of Marcel Jacob (Malmsteen, Talisman), Bobby Barth (Blackfoot, Axe), Bob Harris (Axe), Jeff Scott Soto, and epic metal institution DoomSword (Bertossi, Grillo), as well as side-projects and minor acts such as Gjallarhorn (“Nordheim”, Dragonheart 2005), Fiurach (“Chaospawner”, Scarlet 1999) and many others.

Formed in 1994 by guitarist Matteo Carnio and keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio, the band reached line-up stability in 1996, with Gabriele Grilli on vocals, and recorded their first album in 1998, Mephisto’s Waltz, which unfortunately never got published due to financial problems with the label. In 1999 the band recruited Christian Grillo as bass player who would cover the role to the present day. A second unpublished album was recorded in 2003 (Inferno), after which major reshuffling occurred in the line-up and the band’s sound as co-founder Del Vecchio leaves the band. This is a turning point for the band which decides keyboards will not find a place in the new sound effectively shifting towards a more aggressive and progressive musical territory.

In 2007 Dragonheart publishes the band’s official debut “Tales of the…” which reflects this new age in Fury’n’Grace sound made of dark, intricate, violent and sick compositions. In 2008 Grilli (vocals) leaves the band for personal reasons, to be replaced on “Diabolism of Conversation” by Deathmaster of DoomSword.
